Check in was very simple and we got to see another friend Paola who is now working in the front offices. Upon arrival we were greeted with a familiar smile by Daniel who handed us our cool towel and took care of our bags. It was like going home to see old friends. One of the best things was seeing staff that was still here from our last trip 5 years ago. The rooms and grounds are as beautiful as ever. This time we brought my brother in law and sister in law and they absolutely loved every minute of our trip. Once again this beautiful resort did not disappoint and keeps proving why we keep going back. This review is long overdue, but we visited Secrets Maroma for the 3rd time in May. Overall- a really great resort, on the best stretch of beach.
It doesn’t seem that anyone gets their room before stated check in time. Pack a quick change for the beach/ pool if you arrive before 3. We ate there only once (could have been an anomaly) for lunch upon check in as our room was not ready until 3pm. That hasn’t happened to us in a long time. Huge indents in the mattress- inexcusable in my opinion. Most days the someone from the spa came around with cold towels, and head / shoulder massages! Cons- yes seaweed is there. So helpful! The staff at the preferred area on the beach were working so hard all day making sure we had water and drinks in hand. This has to be the quietest hotel I’ve ever slept in! Not one peep through the night. Highly recommend preferred club, as you have access to the beach club with a la cart breakfast. A holiday to remember ❤️…Įxcellent vacation! The staff go above and beyond to make your vacation perfect. You are doing a great job and should take credit too. Well done to the Management of Secrets Maroma. Lastly, to the F &B Manger who handled a concern of ours with acute professionalism. Thank you to Heliodoro (our lovely drinks waiter at the beach) who looked after his English Senoritas to perfection. Thank you to Zuriel from the beach whose duty it was to make the beach look lovely every night. Special thanks goes to Oscar, our concierge in block 24. Thank you for smiling continuously and for making us enjoy the vacation your priority. The best asset to this beautiful resort has to be the STAFF. Having the saxophonist parade around the pool on a gondolier was a memory I will remember forever! Just fabulous! Lots of lunch time options for food too from the ‘grab and go’ areas to the pool / beachside restaurants. Gents, remember to pack long trousers for the higher end restaurants!! The entertainment team did a great job and there is always something to do if you are done with relaxing. Our favourite is the French one but all very high standard. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Firstly, the resort is stunning….gorgeous by day and romantically lit by night.
